I have to admit self confidence is something I really do need to work on. I know that if I don't really love who I am, and not make real boundaries to myself, then it makes it difficult for the next person to love me. It makes it even harder to get into a comfortable relationship with a man. So beginning today I am going to start thinking positive, and try to find something good about me that I like.
According to Maria Meiners from Search Wrap.com, "When you look in the mirror and you don't like the person looking in the mirror back at you, you will find fault and are critical then the chances are you'll also find fault be critical and generally not like the world around you either. And conversely if you love the person in the mirror and are supportive and cheerful then you will find yourself living in a loving, supportive and generally happy world."
She also goes on further with here are some questions you need to answer about yourself, when you look in the mirror. "What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you like that person? Is that person full of great qualities? Would you like to be that person's best friend? Can you honestly look at the person staring back at you and say, "Wow, you are amazing.?"
When I look at myself in the mirror, I truly can't come up with many good things to say about the person looking back at me, but if I would listen to the nice things people say to me as compliments and believed what I was hearing then maybe I would begin to see what my friends see.
Maria went on further saying, "If your answer were less than positive don't despair. The truth is that the vast majority of people think less of themselves than they do of complete strangers."
Also being your worst enemy could include drinking too much, addiction to legal or illegal drugs, spending more money than you make, not eating healthy or exercising, attracting the wrong kind of man/woman in your life that will ultimately leave you in despair and broken hearted. All these are things that you can start to control today.
So for me starting today I am going to try seeing myself the way other people see me, and not from just a physical standpoint. I am going to try to eat more sensible and take better of my Lupus. I am going to stop with the self pity. I DESERVE TO BE HAPPY! I have to remember if I don't love myself, finding a person that does love is not going to change that!
