I Announce My Candidacy for President

Write in Campaign for Leonard R. Goodwin II

zgrinch
Today, I Leonard R. Goodwin II announce my intention to start a write in campaign for the Presidency of the United States of America for the 2008 election. I am not sure that I am allowed to do this, but I am doing it. I will not spend one red cent on this campaign. I will not put up signs, I will not beholden to any group or lobby. The following outlines my policy initiatives along with my foreign policy objectives.

One, I will work to see that healthcare is FREE for every American and will base the system on the Canadian healthcare system.

Two, I will work to see that no residential home has to pay for water, electricity or local phone service.

Three, I will work to see that we build a new America. This means affordable housing for all, along with the dismantling of FHA, HUD, Fanny Mea and Freddy Mac.

Four, I will work to see all lobbyists banished from political life, no longer will your representatives vote to support special interests unless that special interest is you the people of America.

Five, I will work to see that "one man, one vote" becomes the absolute truth of American Politics.

Six, I will work to see a system set up so that when the people want a bill passed, it passes and when they want a bill defeated, it fails. The basis of this will be a system that allows every American a vote which must be followed by their representative. If a representative fails to vote the will of the people, he will be looking for a new job the very next day.

Seven, I will work to see that if a bill passes by the will of the American people, that there will be no veto to stop it.

Eight, I will work to see that no judge or group of judges subverts the will of the people.

Nine, I will work to see that real crime is punished while drug crimes are treated. Meaning I will eliminate the war on drugs, because if it is a war, we have lost. There must be another way to deal with this issue other than jailing our entire population.

Ten, I will work to see that the I.R.S. is changed so that taxes are based on spending and not on earnings, which will give Americans an incentive to save.

Eleven, I will work to see the Social Security System reformed, we must change the way this system works before it bankrupts our country, we cannot finance our retirement with loans from other nations.

Twelve, I will work to see the burden of debt lifted from the shoulders of Americans by making college free for those who want it, and trade school free for those who want it.

Thirteen, I will work to see the government reduced to a manageable system that does not overburden business and the people themselves.

Fourteen, I will work to see that foreign policy is no longer about Americas interests, but that it balances the worlds interests with ours.

Fifteen, I will work to see the war on terror defused. We will bring our boys home and divide Iraq into three nation states dependant on one another.

Sixteen, I will work for you, not for corporate interests, not for the rich man, but for you.

All of these things I have purposed are possible, to get it done, I need you to write in my name on the ballet. I also need you to tell everyone you know. This is war, not an election. The people must speak. If you wish to know more about what I would like to do, read, "The Bright Future" which is right here on associatedcontent.com. Also, you have my permission to copy this and post it anywhere and everywhere. If you can find a more reputable candidate (when the republicans went after Clinton, it cost us 81 million dollars, I assure you that $15.00 spent in the right place will discredit me in two seconds) and he stands for everything I have outlined, then you have my permission to write his name in instead.

It was my intention to vote for one "Fred Thomson" on Election Day. Now I have come to the conclusion that he cannot win, I believe that if nothing is done, Hillary Clinton will be our next president. I have also come to realize that the Republicans and the Democrats are one and the same. The only difference in them is that they align themselves on one side or the other on an issue in order to keep us fighting. In truth, they know that they are no different. Appearances are everything to them. So, I am neither a liberal Republican nor a socialist Democrat. I believe in the constitution. I believe that if our founding fathers had any idea how the system would be subverted, they would have changed the constitution to allow for this.

Do not send me money. If you want to support my campaign, send this to everyone you know. Have them send it to everyone they know. Post it where everyone you don't know will read it. Have a good idea for our future, send me an e-mail at drenchzgrinch@yahoo.com and put "Our Future" in the subject line. My slogan is but this, "one man, one vote" or "no problems, only solutions" because we can make America great again. Our greatest presidents have always instituted painful changes. It is time for America to go threw growing pains again. Do you have the will to make it happen? If you don't like me, fine. However, you must like my ideas or you wouldn't have read this far. So find a candidate who will adopt my ideas and I will vote for them. I realize that by doing this everything I have ever done wrong will be brought out.

So, to save them some time I will admit to everything right now. I have abused people, drugs and myself. I have cheated and lied. I have broken almost every commandment. I never murdered anyone, but I assure you that if I had lived three hundred years ago, I would have. I am human and gladly admit it. If you believe for one minute that any other candidate is a better human, fine. If you believe that any other candidate will do more for the American people, then you are wrong. So, learn how to spell it and tell everyone you know....Leonard R. Goodwin II for President of the United States in 2008. If nothing else, we can tell the politicians that we want change!

Sorry to shock you with the reality of things, but many, probably most, of the people who go to Washington D.C. have the same sort of logic that you do. (Have you ever seen the fairy tale movie, "Mr. Smith goes to Washington?") Then they get to Washington they get seduced by virtually all of those that are already there. There is one glaring exception though, Dr. Ron Paul of Texas. I support him for President. Too bad the Washington and news media establishments are so against him. Most people are so ignorant that they don't do a little research. Most people just vote for whoever the news media supports without checking to see how that person stands on the issues!
