What did President Obama do

To earn the Nobel Peace Prize?

I wish I knew - I haven't a clue!

Maybe something great, or something wise?

I think it's just a joke

Or one of those outrageous scams,

At best maybe it's a hoax,

To pull the wool over the eyes of lambs.

The Winds of Change, blow and gust,

A young man leads us who is black, thus

He stands in the settling dust,

Reaching out to the world, trying to build trust.

    Interesting poem...I think the president has to seriously step up now because of the award! It was a bit of a shock to me that he received it, because I was thinking of former recipients like Mother Theresa...we absolutely know why she was awarded this honor! We will see what happens I guess!

    I think it is so wonderful that we have a format like this where people can exchange ideas. I believe President Obama deserved that peace prize because he at least wants to try diplomacy and reasoning in the hope of finding a peaceful solution. After reading
    John Hersey's Hiroshima, I hope and pray such a thing will never happen again. I feel
    we need to grow in our efforts for peace. It seems like nations are often like two cavemen pounding the ground with their clubs, screaming, My atomic bomb is bigger than your atomic bomb!"
