While it is always amusing to see these two fine actors portray their Raymond characters of Frank and Marie, in this commercial something was lacking. The spark and chemistry between the two seemed stilted and forced. The dialogue was lacking, as well.
It would have been worth it for Bayer HealthCare LLC (makers of Alka Seltzer) to fork out the extra bucks and get a writer or two from the show to write the commercial. In the few lines exchanged between the characters, viewers would have been treated to hearty belly laughs and great entertainment. Instead, they were witness to a sad spot on the record of these actors and the wickedly funny characters they portray.
Now instead of not believing they ate the whole thing, football fans everywhere can't believe they watched the whole thing. . .the alka-selzer commercial, that is.
