I Can't Cry # 22

I came home, after work,
my little lady wasn't home...
I wonder what, she's up to now,
to go and leave me all alone...
Well, I know, she's on the town,
looking for a love affair...
I wonder who, she's dancing with,
I'd call her if I only dared...
I've been through, this all before,
there's nothing that makes it better...
I know, she's in another dream,
to my eyes she's just like stormy weather...
My eyes, so full of water,
so, what's the use in faking?...
Maybe, she'll wake up soon,
and see the pain she's causing...

I can't cry, anymore- 'cuz, what's the use in drowning?
I can't smile, when she's around- 'cuz, when she's gone I'm frowning...
Yes, I know, I'm not alone- when it comes to broken hearts,
but between, her and I- just knowing she don't love me really hurts...
I can't cry, anymore- 'cuz, what's the use in drowning?
I can't smile, when she's around- 'cuz, when she's one I'm frowning...

It's me, that knows the fate of love,
I doubt she knows the meaning...
She says, she loves me so,
but I know she's just pretending...
Like a fairy tale, where I'm the prince,
and she's just the wicked witch...
Waves her wand, and I drop to the ground,
and put me out in a cinch...
I pray that, she'll hold her own,
long after I am gone...
I truly loved her, this she knows,
but now I'm truly all alone...

Chorus.
