I Can't Go with You Just Yet

I'm Still Needed Here

Allana Calhoun
Death beckons to me oh so many times
and so often I want I to answer his call
He whispers promises of "no more pain"
but I fear it's a trap into which I dare not fall

Though the waves of pain threaten to drown me
I refuse to give up and I fight the undertow
There are sudden urges to throw myself into the darkness
that hints it holds the peace that I do not know

Shall I choose to wander in the everlasting dream
where serenity and sanity is promised everyday
A part of me always cries vehemently yes
but yet a part of me holds me back and says nay

That which holds me back shows me the lights
of 3 beautiful hearts that are connected to mine
Would I dare hurt those so blissfully innocent
My answer proves that there are truly angels divine

Only the angels know of my turmoil deep within
so when I am at my weakest moments of mind
they once again show me those 3 beautiful souls
which hold me by that ever unbreakable bind

I have been here many times as well falling into the pit again in 2004 for a time. In March 2004 the miracle for me came at the ripe older age of 42. Our children are not only our future they are our strength as well. Great work Tink it captures what many find hard to say.

I agree with Dan, this is definitely one of my favorites, haunting and hearth wrenching. Beautiful Tink!
