I Can't Live Without My GPS

Technology has us at a point where living without it is not an option. I personally cannot see myself without a GPS! Of all things that technology has to offer during this time of age, a GPS although pretty much already outdated and taken over by smart phones is one thing I cannot be without. Yes my mobile phone has a Map feature, but let's be realistic, how efficient is it driving and looking down at your phone while trying to read directions? The GPS can be placed on the window and you can see it much more clearly as well as the voice directions! You do not even need to look at the screen, just listen to the directions.

I know that we can print out maps, and you can get directions off anything but a GPS can be so useful for so many reasons. I mean so many times have I been to a New city and don't know where to eat, a GPS can find me local restaurants within the area I am located and provide me with the directions. I can get directions so much more easily on my GPS as well, I have found that even though I can use my mobile as a backup, the GPS itself can't be replaced and I hate to be in my car and not have my GPS! I have become very dependent on my GPS to where I can't go anywhere without it, now I don't even bother memorizing directions and I literally depend on the GPS for places I go to on a daily basis. It is very sad to be in the same situations where I am dependent on the GPS as much as I am on my mobile, I can't drive without my GPS just as I can't leave the house without my cell phone.

Technology has gotten me addicted to the ease of using a GPS to go everywhere I need to go. I have been in situations I have meetings and have literally been four hours late because my GPS was not in my car and I for lost. It is horrible to think years ago I was able to get anywhere without the need of a GPS and today I can't get nowhere. Dependence on technology is something we all suffer from, and will continue to depend on for years to come.
