I Can't Sleep Tonight (she's Not Here)

How can I escape this dark light,

Without your golden hand's touch,

Without the words that mean so much.

How can I see without light,

How can I feel my way through this night,

Can you guide me through,

This ocean of feelings I have for you.

And I'm missing you so much,

Your in a happy valley,

And I'm there with you too,

I just need a word to see me through.

I can't sleep tonight,

Fearing the worst and exploding inside,

Just because I'm not by your side,

Where I should be .

Tomorrow is so far away,

Your so far but so close by,

And as I stare into the nights sky,

A flash of light shoots across my eyes.

I have you inside my soul,

I have you warming my bed,

I have you whispering words in my head,

I have you and you have me in our beds.

I can sleep tonight as I've realized,

That the quicker tomorrow comes,

The faster the light will travel,

And turn this darkness into day.

For tomorrow brings you with it,

And as I sleep I'll fly to your day,

If you hear a soft whisper in your ear,
