I Forgot About Valentine's Day Till Just Now

Now How Do I Fix It?

Christian K. Martinez
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I know it, you know it...and worst of all your girlfriend probably does too. Don't worry though, it really is okay, or at least it can be. One of the worst ways to spend your Valentine's Day is spending it under the cloud of "he forgot".

Let's be honest here, lots of guys forget. A lot more than actually get caught forgetting. Here are three fairly simple things to keep in mind so you won't spend your day being the "guy that forgot" about his girlfriend on Valentine's Day.

Stay Calm and Don't Panic!

The first and most important part of all of this is that you need to stay calm. It's probably the hardest. You've forgotten about Valentine's Day. You have anywhere from a week to a day or two to make some kind of plans.

It's all okay...just keep in mind that you can still pull this together. It's much easier than you think. It may be last minute, but that doesn't mean you can't show your girlfriend how much you love her.

Think on Your Feet

Roll with the punches as they say, step two in your plan to avoid a Valentine's Day disaster. Think on your feet, a restaurant that would work for a date is probably out of the question by now if it's last minute. So...move on. What can you do? What can you do, and what can you accomplish with the least amount of time for the greatest effect.

Find the Right Kind of Ideas

Most of all...Valentine's Day is about showing somebody else that you care about them. It's about telling your girlfriend that you love her. That's why it is always so troublesome when you forget it. Many see it as a sign that you don't love them.

So the final step here...is to find out what idea will make her see that you love her. What sweet things, what little (or big) things can you do that don't require restaurants or advance planning. Find the right kind of ideas to say "I love you" for Valentine's Day.
