I Found Missing Money on MissingMoney.com, But...

A few weeks ago, my loving brother cared so much about me that he called to tell me I had missing money on the website missingmoney.com.

"Are you serious?" I asked him.

He said yes, that his wife had typed in a bunch of names and mine was one of them that came up.

"Great!" I told him I would check on it right away.

I kept wondering how much money could I possibly have floating around the cyberworld as I logged into the website. Sure enough, there was my entire maiden name. I clicked on it and read all the information on how to claim it.

"Woah." I never lived in Arkansas. I knew there was a catch. OK, wrong gal. There is no money out there waiting for me to claim. I can handle that. I typed in my husband's name. Nothing. I tried my in-laws. Nothing.

I basically tried every person that I knew, dead and alive, but nothing.

Then, my husband came into the office and wanted to know what I was doing. I informed him of the mistake my brother had made, and he wanted to play around with site. He typed in his best friend's name.

Now, I have to pause a minute before I go on.

There are always those people in this world that things ALWAYS tend to work out for them, right? Well, my husband's best friend is one of them. He is basically given things all the time, always winning contests, always landing the good jobs. Whatever. Why in the world would there be missing money out there for him? I guess you know what happened next.

Sure enough, his name popped up. Apparently, an old employer had placed the information on there stating that he forgot to pick up a payroll check at a job he had over 10 years ago. The amount shown was $378.64 . Wow. What luck!

So, my husband called up his buddy, told him about it and we printed the claim form for him. He sent it in with all the required information and a few weeks later, he received his check in the mail.

So, I really think EVERYONE should check this site out, if not for your OWN personal benefit, but for someone close to you.
