I Hope You Can Be a Special Person Too

RDA
Only the people, who are remarkable, won't become a dusty book in the library or life. Is it too hard to be special? To live the life as we want to and be special when you are living your own life.

The art makes a person special. Two artists that just got to know each other can be friends in a very short conversation. An artist would like to share the thoughts he/she feels and want to achieve the perfection. But of course we need to teach what art is, so the other people can share the life of the artists. The artists are born gifted; they acknowledge the talent that is given to them by God and to reflect that skill to the world.

I was just living in a small village and teaching pottery to my students. One of my students was the center of attention when I opened art exhibition and this woman was 67 years old. The way she presented her work of art to the people and the pride in her made me the happiest person on the earth that day. It was visible that she was enjoying the life and she could share what she feels with the people.

The world has become a place where we don't share anything anymore except arts. If there was not friendship and love, there wouldn't be arts. So arts could bond us together. When you are painting a portrait, only vision is not enough. If vision was enough, we could just take a picture of a person and then make it bigger with Photoshop or those kinds of programs. And the picture would not be as special as a portrait. What would make the portrait special is the empathy, the feeling, the sensitivity of the artist.

I thought for many days when I decided to paint a picture of my father and my son. My father was sure that I could draw that. But the thought in my mind was how could I reflect the love and trust between my son and my father, the respect that they have for each other. That painting would become special if I can only reflect these feelings in that.

As an artist, I should understand those feelings between my father and son so I can tell the people what that picture means. And as a viewer, you have to feel those feelings so you can see what that painting is about. One of the people who saw the painting of my father and my son in the exhibition, said to me that ''this painting is so real, and as I saw your father smiling in that picture, I smiled back to him''. This made me fly over the clouds.

I think this is arts, the communication that I can establish with the people. When you listen to music, you travel back in time and remember things bad or good, sad or happy. I can feel the feelings of the composers like Mozart or Bach as they reflect the wind that they felt in the forests, the sound of the rivers, the rain that drops on the roof. They felt those things at that time and with the music they composed, they make me feel the same things now.

The world is changing and the people are becoming numb and insensitive. We just want to have more and more, destroying people when we are trying to have things that we want. Lack of satisfaction and commonness surrounded us. Please try to be a special person and do your best to understand people like an artist.
