I Keep My Hands Warm with Coleman Disposable Handwarmers

A Great Way to Make Sure Your Hands Stay Warm

My least favorite part of the winter is the fact that my hands seem to get cold very easily. I don't know, they are just cold, no matter how hard I try to keep them warm. So I've come to realize that I need something more than just gloves or pockets in the wintertime and that's where the Coleman Disposable Hand Warmers come in handy.

Made from non-toxic chemicals, the Disposable Hand Warmers give me a way to have a steady heat source for my hands for up to 6 hours. Not only that, but even beyond my hands, I've found a number of different uses for these warms.

From just putting them in my pockets and warming up my hands when needed to putting them up against water bottles in my backpack when it's well below freezing, the more you think about it, the more uses you can probably find for these Hand Warmers.

Generally they are in my pockets because they give me that boost of warmth I'll need from time to time to keep my hands warm. Failing that I've got a pair of gloves with special pockets for the warmer packet that work well. To keep my water bottles from freezing, I've packed a packet around them from time to time. Even to keep my boots warm at night when I've been camping in cold weather - drop a packet in each boot and cover them and they will keep them warmer than they would be otherwise.

To look at them, there really isn't much to the Coleman Hand Warmers. All you have to do to activate them is shake them. It takes a bit for them to get up to their operating temperature, but once they do, you'll have up to 6 hours of warmth with the temperature generally hovering around 120 degrees or so (Fahrenheit).

In my quest for warm hands, the Coleman Disposable Hand Warmers really do help out in the wintertime. Whenever I'm planning on some outdoor activities in the cold, I make sure I have at least a couple of them.

Why not just get the renewable ones that are reset in boiling water? You just click the popper inside and they heat up very quickly and stay hot for ages. You can get ones that go in the freezer too. They come in sizes ranging from small enough to fit in your palm, up to hot water bottle sizes.
