For as long as I can remember my sister, Pat, has always shared with anyone she can get to listen to her, the stupid things I do.
Like the time I was standing on the counter and tried to move a little step stool with my foot. It hadn't been secured on the sides so consequently when I stepped on it, it collapsed and I fell from the counter to the floor.
I lost my balance, fell against the drawers and slip down the handles. Both my feet were twisted like pretzels around the collapsed ladder. I knew immediately that nothing was broken and my daughter and I were laughing hysterically.
Or like the time I "sort of" caught my panty hose on fire. I normally have several pair in the linen closet, but that morning the only pair I had was the pair I had worn the night before and they weren't completely dry. In a panic, I slid each leg, one at a time, over the end of the hair dryer. I temporarily forgot about the automatic shut off.
When the hair dryer shut off I realized they were not going to get any dryer. When I put them on there was a large hole in the knee where they had actually melted. I searched my closet for the longest dress I own.
The other day my sister and I were sitting in my car talking, waiting for a light to change. I turned to look out the window and when I turned back she was no longer "sitting" beside me.
She was lying beside me, with tears of laughter rolling down her cheeks. She had pushed the lever to recline the seat, but because she is recovering from surgery she couldn't stop the seat herself, so she was completely reclined.
If I didn't love her I would have left her like that!
