I Man's Question to His Wife

We Men Were Just Wondering About Something.

Mike Bauman
You gripe and you lash

At me with your tongue

And I think to myself,

The time has now come.

Your anger it flares

About this, about that.

I just bite my tongue

and tip my hat.

Most of the time

You're the joy of my life.

We walk hand in hand

Through frustrations and strife.

I'm faithful to you

'til death do us part.

Through thin and through thick

Through stop and through start.

Why is it then

When m-s gets its p,

You treat everyone nice,

Except for just me?

    It's all brutal.

I love your poem. The reason is because many women

    1. take out their pms on the ones they love the most

    or

    2. take out their anger on the one who they know won't lash back on them
