I Met the Prince of Peace

Back in the eighties, I was a very disillusioned young man. I had a great
education, but I could not get a job in my field, accomplish anything, or get any
satisfaction or peace in life.

So I decided to change careers. I really pulled out all the stops. I went to a resume
place and had my resume professionally edited and printed. I subscribed to publications
that advertised job openings in the Federal Government. After a year of hard work and
struggle, I could not get anywhere. I could not even get an interview for a job in my
field. I was totally frustrated, angry, and full of anguish.

I did not know where to turn, so I did the only thing I could do, I went to the Lord in
prayer. I did not personally know Jesus at the time, but I knew that He could give me
real peace and contentment in life. So I went to the Lord in prayer and told Him that I
would take any job He had for me if He would just give me peace of mind. I thought I
would get a really humble job.

The most amazing thing happened. I got an interview and a job in field in about two
weeks. I was shocked, for this was the first time I ever experienced the dramatic power
of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I knew Him as the King of Kings as well as the Prince of
Peace.

About a week later, I was shopping in my favorite supermarket and I picked up an
invitation to listen to a Christian radio station. I was eager to learn as much as
possible. I discovered that Jesus died for my sins so that I could have Eternal Life,
and that He offered me Eternal Life as a gift.

I decided to accept His Gift and to believe in Jesus Christ. I believe He died for my
sins and I follow Him in everything I do in life. He has given me an incredible peace
and joy that I have never known before.
