I say I do not care to write
I might care next year
Perhaps next month
Or in 3 weeks from next Tuesday night
My hands they hurt
My head it aches
I look in the mirror
And make a silly face
I do not care to write tonight
I say I do not care to write
I do not care to write tonight
I say I do not care to write
I may care some day
In a plane on my way to Spain
But I do not care to write tonight
I do not care to write
I do not care to write tonight
I do not care to write
I'll perhaps grill a steak
Maybe bake a cake
But, I do not care to write tonight!

I know that feeling. Just sitting and staring at the bland page--pen poiesed ready but the words won't come. Then you tellyourself that you con't care to write tonight, and the next thing you know you have written a silly little poem that sounds pretty good and who knows but what that might break the block and you begin again. Great little poem that you have here. I like short poems--that's what most all of mine are.

Bleargh! The Horror of White Pages! Or White Spaces these days. All consuming nothing gnawing at the soul!
I think we all feel like this at some point, good poem.
Good one - the steak sounds like a good idea!
