I Noticed

(part 1)

Jolynne M Hudnell
Through the impressive fireworks display
You remained unfaltering in keep.
Never overbearing, no expectations
Consistent, yet somewhat unnoticed.

Once the dazzling presentation dwindled
I perceived only trails of what had been.
As the blaze was removed from my sight
A blinding darkness prevailed.

No longer hidden by hollow luminosity
I remember your subdued, unwavering glow.
I noticed but never devoted recognition
Regretfully belated, I demonstrate now.

So true, it's nice to recognize those who silently support you and stand by as your life unfurls.
