I Predict ... Ravens at Vikings Week 6

Josh Burris
We have Baltimore going to Minnesota on Sunday, after a close but big loss for the division lead to the Bengals. The Vikings how ever just came from their "2nd bye" after facing the useless Rams. The Ravens for this game, even after two straight losses, look great offensively ranked 5th in total offense. The Vikings are ranked 18th in total offense. Defensively the Ravens are ranked at a respectable 10th. The Vikings overall are ranked 14th overall. Although I like Jared Allen and the Williams wall. I have to note that some how the Rams were able to score 10 points against this Vikings defense. I also have to note that even though Jared Allen ran through the Packers offensive line with 4 sacks, most people forget that the Packers were still able to put up 23 points. On the flip side of that, until last week nobody was able to put up more than 100 yards rushing on the Ravens since 2006. That being said, the first thing about the undefeated Vikings, is that you have to stop Adrian Peterson.

The Ravens are more than equipped to do that. Chester Taylor is a non factor at that point. The next thing that you need to do is shut down the Legendary #4 and all of his weapons on offense. It's an understatement to say that that is a tough job, but not when you have one of the best all time safetys in Ed Reed. I think that the Ravens can definitely shut down the offense. What I am worried about with the Ravens is the recent game changing penalties, which I am almost certain they will have at least 1. You don't want to give Minnesota any edge offensively. I say you should try to keep Joe Flacco's hands off the ball as much possible in this one because of Jared Allen, and you should leave it up to the run game . I don't honestly think, after seeing what Ryan Grant did, that Minnesota will have an easy time stopping the Ravens run game. Overall, while every game is important, I see this as a must win game for the Ravens, and a not nearly as important game for the Vikings. I think it will be a close mid-scoring game that the Ravens will find a way to pull out. I predict Ravens 24 - Vikings 21. I say stay away from weird O/Us and only bet on the Ravens if the Vikings are favored by 4 or more.
