I Question the Grammy Timing

Tim O'Brien
The drawback for the Grammy announcement last night was the timing. To those of us who blogged it live and covered it, we now move to other stuff and reactions. To those who missed it are catching up and the morning news cycles are deciding on how to proceed. To many, it's old; others it's new. They should have put out the other nominees for the news cycles in the A.M. yesterday and then the major awards on the show. as they did. It would then hit the all day news frames and then the next morning for sure. But, will other awards follow this pattern?
I could see it. Overall, Kanye West leads with 7 and he was not there. They like to have the potential big nominees on the show. He was in Chicago at the United Center, with Jay-Z.
Record of the Year
"Rolling in the Deep" - Adele
"Grenade" - Bruno Mars
"Holocene" - Bon Iver
"The Cave" - Mumford & Sons
"Firework" - Katy Perry Song of the Year
"Rolling in the Deep" - Adele
"Holocene" - Bon Iver
"Grenade" - Bruno Mars
"The Cave" - Mumford & Sons
"All of the Lights" - Kanye West, Rihanna, Kid Cudi, & Fergie
Oh, there are more, plenty more. Even after cutting some categories, the names that fill out the nominees would make those who write the bills in Congress proud. Hmmm.
