I remember Christmas.
I close my eyes and I can smell it.
The pies, the cakes, the turkey.
I remember Christmas.
I hear the children laughing.
I hear my own laughter...as a child...at Christmas.
The family gathered at my grandma's house.
The tree, the lights, the feeling...of Peace And Joy and Silent Night.
I remember Christmas.
The Christ child in a manger. The angels singing.
Heaven ringing...at the sight.
I remember Christmas.
The way it used to be.
The way it remains...deep in my heart.

Post a CommentGreat poem. I close my eyes and I can see it, smell it, and hear it as well. Nicely done. : )
