Big deal you say
You don't know my fear
I hate snakes, my dear
They slither and hiss
Their presence, I don't miss
Big snakes or small
I'm afraid of them all
A tiny one was in my pool
He was obviously looking for a place to cool
Poor snake could not get out
His snake face seemed to pout
A pool pole I grabbed
And assisted the poor lad
A fear I had to face
In order to show grace
Now the snake is gone
Flipped over my fence
Yes he is alive
And I get a high five
I don't want him to come back
Nor make me his snack
Go visit the neighbor my snake
And give your new friend a break
(PETA better appreciate me not killing that snake, but if any fly comes near me, I'm taking him out!)

Good job! I love all of the critters, just not so close to home.
I truly do not like snakes, but this little guy caught me on a good day and I showed mercy. He really better not come visit again though! LOL
I don't mind snakes, but I applaud your bravery and goodwill!

Great poem!
Love this poem. I wouldn't be that brave, I'm afraid.
I don't know if PETA would approve of you flinging the snake over the fence, but, believe me, the rest of us normal, snake-fearing folks completely understand and approve of your actions! :)
Hee Hee! Glad it was you and not me! That is one of the one things I am a little afraid of! Funny poem!
