Have you considered the state of television today? Have you also considered the state of our unthinkable government as well...there's a connection which occasionally needs to be stated since the 24-hour blitz of "news" leaves us wondering if they look in the mirror to see what kind of product they are delivering to us. You know these people--men and women alike--on CNN who are the Stepford wives of the world...they're cookie cutter cuties who can keep on showing up because because they're so darn cute.
These women of The South on CNN are a pretty centerfold...THEN you have to consider their empty souls that were bought by CNN to present to the other hopefully-Stepford-wives-as-well. WE'RE the Stepford wives they wish to have: if we take them seriously we're what they want! Dissent is not tolerated in this world of you-can't-stop-us-if-we-keep-smiling television blitz: this is the theory of continuously dumping robot-people on us. When I was a kid it was a daylight business, but today--since the late 1970s--we are blitzed since we were close to the fence and were tunneling out. There's LIFE outside the concentration camp!
As a matter of fact the 24-hour television we have today became necessary when some people in the United States back in the 1970s became aware that if they tune out the television "experts" they will be better served as consumers and also as people. We can find a way to be moral people and also intelligent consumers without this product--television is a product--which we can opt out of. The CNNs of the world or as I prefer to call them "CBS, Junior" are following in the direct lineage of CBS who has a REAL problem keeping viewers...so, OF COURSE, they branched out as any intelligent company would do in search of plentiful vistas.
CNN has been trying to promote that mental-midget Anderson Cooper into the status of a national teddy bear. His attitude will keep him from being crowned Mister Congeniality, however, though CNN is undeterred.
That's of course due to the INSANE salaries that television people get for even or maybe ESPECIALLY misguided and immoral efforts. Have you listened to Anderson Cooper? How would you describe your affection for his personality? Here's an additional leap for the audience to consider: after considering his personality do you think it's unfair to blame him--Anderson Cooper--for that unfortunate place he finds himself in as America's special vixen.
His former network--CBS-- ran out of patience for making him King since of course HE ISN'T! Do you know how bad our government has gotten...it's because we are given CNN, CBS, FOX, ABC and a bunch of other drink-the-koolaid networks. Their common message: just listen to us and your life will be fine. We got'cha!
The GOOD NEWS is that these networks who have proliferated supposedly out of success have really been walking the Green Mile awaiting execution by the public. Television ratings have been nosediving for more than twenty years: so, you the public have done your part! Internet usage has skyrocketed as a result of horrible product on television. You ignored the angry Anderson Coopers of the world.
I like to think of the nouveau networks--CNN, FOX, and even ESPN--as the thirsty and famished dinosaurs of the world. Their profits are thin and their loyal audience is a myth and statements to the contrary are false. Imagine the thirsty, hungry dinosaurs walking the Green Mile to be executed as bees escape from their buzz-brains; we don't have to actually kill the dinosaurs physically though some wish Anderson Cooper and those vapid and soulless "reporters" would drop dead. Their reporting consists of attempting to capture your attention so it can be translated into diminished value in Washington DC!
If you're anti-capital punishment just do what you're doing now: REFUSE to watch these angry and bloated dinosaurs. Maybe they'll find that audience to annoy in the next world!
