Harry, Ron and Hermione, 6 years into The Hogwarts School of Magic achieve new and greater heights in this spectacular latest epoisode; stunning, breathtaking and filled with emotion. Ron comes of age, and we now see him as we never have before.

Briefly, Harry, with the help of an "Advanced Potions" testbook once, we discover, the property of the "Half Blood Prince", earns aa "vial of luck". Ron, believing that he has the aid of the lucky potion, now goalie at Quidditch, knocks the competition out of the Quidditch stadium and back into the stands.

Later Harry still in possession of the vial of Luck Potion uses it, and his somewhat contrived ties with Horace Slughorn, now back from retirement and instilled as the potions teacher, to learn the ways, with the aide of most ancient Professor Dumbledor to defeat the evil Volemort. Years earlier it appears, Slughorn has had some mysterious interchange with enigmatic Tom Riddle. Harry desperatly needs to know the details of that interchange.
When Volemort stomps on Harry Potter's bespectacled face, it is a bleak moment in the history of Hogwarts.

As it happens I had the pleasure of viewing the movie at Chicago's fabled Navy Pier, near Michigan Avenue, and Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Navy Pier is the place where citizens and tourists come together to enjoy the fun and beauty of Lake Michigan. All manner of boat rides are available. Several visits will be needed to enjoy all the glories. the rides for children, young people, and adults are wonderful. Shopping, Restuarants, and a variety of drinking establishments make for a great vacation in great Chicago.

I saw this latest in the Harry Potter series of motion pictures at Navy Pier in perhaps the Pier's greatest attraction, the IMAX Theater which features a towering 6 story high screen, 80 x 60 feet. Seated in the IMAX Theater is the experience of a life time; one can scarcely take in the entirety of the 6 story high screen at any one time. Add to that the most incredible 3D experience, far beyond the state of the art, and you have come perhaps to Hogwarts. This is an otherworldly departure from the ways of the world. The IMAX 3D experience, 21st century, transcends what one may have ever hoped for even from the technology of virtual reality.
Getting back to our story (but not telling too much): Hermione is so emotional and ever so distraught in the presence of Ron's very attractive girlfriend that to see the scene will move your soul and vibrate your heart. Ron is at his greatest. And Harry, who clearly admits he

is the "Chosen One" has never been better!

Please come to Chicago and see Harry Potter, and the Half Blood Prince.
