I Spit on Your Grave Confirms 2010 Release

Shock Till You Drop released the exclusive I Spit on Your Grave poster last week and now there is confirmation that Anchor Bay will release this film, in a limited fashion, late 2010. As well, the DVD release is official as the first quarter of 2011. I Spit on Your Grave is a remake of Meir Zarchi's 1978 hit of the same name. This second film will add a "voyeuristic quality and gritty realism," (UHM) so expect some brutality.

A synopsis for the film:

"A remake of the controversial 1979 cult classic, I Spit on Your Grave retells the horrific tale of writer Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler), who takes a retreat from the city to a charming cabin in the woods to start on her next book. But Jennifer's presence in the small town attracts the attention of a few morally deprived locals who set out one night to teach this city girl a lesson" (I Spit).

Release Date: Fall 2010 (Limited, DVD 2011).

Director: Steven R. Monroe.

Cast: Daniel Franzese, Chad Lindberg, Rodney Eastman, Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Saxon Sharbino, and Andrew Howard.
