I Think He Left Me Today

I think he left me today
without a good-bye; he wasn't okay
the look that he gave me was nothing the same,
the words that he said was for my heart was the aim.
He told me he was serious-that he couldn't do it
but life as we know it; I think I almost knew it.
I may be too honest, too gentle, too loving
I could tell I was different from him-from what he knew of me

I think today was the last time I saw him
without a good-bye; no hug no kiss not even a hi five
The days have gotten longer and I've given up
One thing is that I still love him.. that is what..
I always said I would never give my heart to anyone
but with him it made it possible because my heart became undone
His hard exterior made me so soft;
I tried to give him what I had-but it ended in this loss

I miss my happiness, my smile, my laughter
but when he made this decision it was after...
I lost it all.. everything who I am
Because all of me left with my man
