I think they might be giants...
sit down at the tv for
big, blustery giant speak

Maybe they are giants
the kids outside, though,
freely run wild
in the giant shadows they cast
They might be giants though
this misspell they cast on us
doesn't inspire dreams
I before sleep at night ponder
if they might be giants
then I go to sleep
and live my own pretend giant dream

The giants are the ones who can't pass on any friendly gestures or happy thoughts. Watch tv and the feeling is undeniable very often...it's cold and thoughtless. The "they" I know of aren't right about anything! It's hard, of course, for some to believe that some people are wrong 100% of the time...live and learn.
I think they might be right, too.. I still remain just a tad uncertain though about exactly who the 'they' are :-}
