I Tried Rejuvicare Hair & Nail Formula Caplets for a Month, with No Improvement

Susan Slade
About five weeks ago, Walgreen's drugstore had another one of their great promotions. You purchase Rejuvicare Hair & Hair Formula for $9.99, and receive $10.00 back in the form of a coupon to use on any items, within the next two weeks.

If it is free, or I make 1 penny on the transaction, then that product is for me.

These come in a rose colored, and white box. After taking them out of the box, there is a bottle, which is mainly white, with the rose color, and black going around it. It states that this product is 'new', and that it is an 'Enhanced Beauty Nutraceuticals Hair & Nail formula, which contains, biotin, zinc and aloe vera'. It also states that it has 'Pro-Collagen Factors for Thicker Hair & Stronger Nails'.

At the bottom of the box, and bottle it states that 'these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA'.

To open the bottle, you have to pull the black tab, and then a line of plastic comes off, leaving the lid to flip up. These caplets are sealed, so you have to removed that next. Then there is a huge amount of cotton wool stuffed into the bottle. Finally, there are 30 caplets, that fill the bottle about one quarter to a third of the way. Bad marketing.

These caplets are the size of multi-vitamins, or my calcium supplements. They are white and shiny. The directions are to take one a day with a meal, or as directed by a health care professional. It doesn't state whether it should be a.m. or p.m., so I have been taking one a day with my a.m. medications.

I waited until I had taken the 30 day supply before writing this review. I have to say that my hair doesn't look any thicker, than when I use beauty products that claim added volume, to my hair. My hair does shine, but I use gel, and hairspray on it. Both of those also make my hair shine.

My nails. Well, I went to St. Augustine and Daytona last week, and was in the water a lot of the time. My nails are normally fairly strong. I don't have false nails, and apart from my thumb nails, they normally have an eighth or a quarter inch of white at the top of them. They are no stronger than if I hadn't taken this supplement.

Because of this I looked at the supplement facts on the back of the bottle:

thiamin 10 mg
riboflavin 10 mg
niacin 50 mg
Vit. B6 15 mg
folate 200 mcg
B12 100 mcg
Biotin 300 mcg
Pantotheric acid 50 mg
Calcium 75 mg
Zinc 30 mg
Copper 1 mg
Manganese 5 mg
Colloidal silica 10 mg
Aloe vera 400 mg
Fo ti root 100 mg
Grape Skin extract 10 mg
Methylsulfonylmethane 250 mg
Sulfur 50 mg

I know that many of these are good for me, and so I had no problem taking these caplets. However, when I check on my hair, and nails, I honestly think that having them for free was great, but I personally wouldn't purchase them.

Again from their bottle:

"Helps support vibrant hair & healthy nails Supplies vital protein building blocks. Contains essential sulfur amino acids & compounds for hair and nail growth Pro-Collagen factors for thicker hair & stronger nails!"
They do have an endorsement from Kourtney Kardashian.

I will continue taking my multi-vitamin, and my calcium for my osteoporosis. I know both of these to work.

    Glad they helped you Katlyne.

I have taken them for 3months and my hair has thicken. The reason for starting them because of hair breakage due to high lights. My nails look the same, but my hair is thicker.

    Doza,

In the 30 days I used it my nails kept breaking, and I didn't see any improvement.

I purchased Rejuvicare Hair and Nail formula last night at Walgreens who had an odd promotion: $9.99 but get $5 back at the time of purchase, in fact I paid the $9.99 then was refunded $5 back on my debit at time of transaction and it posted that same night. Why just sell it for $4.99?. So back to the product, I will hopefully notice results as I continue to use this supplement, it definitley has crucial mineral/vitamins to support the skin and hair- especially Grapeseed and Copper . Being that one of the Kardashians endorses this, I'm sure it will sell but honestly, its a supplement, not plastic surgery/Botox in a bottle.

Maybe long-term use would cause a more noticeable change, but one never knows! Glad to read your critique.
