I Want to Live

I want to live in a land beyond compare
Spreading joy and not despair
Where we nurture and care for one another.

I want to live where honesty's a must,
Where passion is a plus,
And, most days, most people love each other.

I want to give where I am shown a need
Foster charity and not greed
As a sister, mother, friend and lover.

I want to live and love and laugh and learn
Expecting nothing in return
And yet I hope for the unexpected.
