I Want to Love You More
I can see your tender heart;
Pulsing with so much love;
I don't want us to be apart;
I look to the heavens up above;
I can hear your sweet song;
Ringing in my ears;
And it helps me to be strong;
As you wipe away my tears;
I fall down on my knees;
Until they are bruised and sore;
Every fiber in my being pleads;
Lord, I want to love you more;
Forgive me in the doubt;
That sometimes invades my mind;
For all the cruel words I have spoken;
And the times that I have been unkind;
Unlock these iron shackles of sin;
Find me in the shadows where I hide;
Cleanse my heart from bitterness;
So only You can live inside;
Give me charity toward my neighbor;
And an ear in which one can confide;
Save me from intolerance;
And self-righteous pride;
Let me be a living witness;
Of what you mean to me;
So that others may come to know you;
And receive the gift you give for free
