I Was Christian for 26 Years - Zeitgeist Movie

Learning the history of your religion is very very important. So why do most people not care about the history but just nod their heads when told it's OK to overlook it. WHY? Well, my mom is a nice old lady, read the bible all the way through like 6 times, she always had the Christian answer for me growing up. It was nice and comforting and I always thought it was one aspect of her life she had right and that's what made her smarter and more unique. My dad joked about going to hell, we don't get along very well, but for other reasons. I honestly grew up condemning my dad and my sister to hell, as a Christian no one is supposed to judge but to follow the text, people are going to hell if you don't accept the Son of God, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It may be subconscious but it happens.

I even converted friends because over time I learned to tell the Christian story very good. It was moving, I wanted to become well trained and travel the world saving souls. I read the bible and studied and went to church and searched for the answers and knowledge I had yet to be given. I prayed for wisdom a lot and still do. So I also had a lot of friends growing up that refused to accept my perfect book and my perfect Word of God, as I was taught. I struggled finding all the answers but never gave up my search. I promised my friends when I came across one of their points I would look into the history of the texts and find the Godly ways behind it. I always believed that God sent the Bible to man as the perfect sword against evil. I'm not gonna lie, reading the bible gave me a couple inconsistencies that I would toil with that were on my list to resolve, a couple things existed I simply did not agree with. If I deter from the trained teachings of the Christian book then I would be considered pagan. Most people think pagans are bad evil people but pagans are actually someone who has their own beliefs. Well everyone is pagan. Our brains are meant to be pagan.

If you find two Christians who believe the exact same thing without question. Should we be proud? They were taught what to think and say and controlled. Then one must ask who taught them their lessons and do they add up to the most logical of all senses. You will find that most everyone on the planet has some thinking of their own, depends how much time they spend on thinking. The more you think the more you will differ from someone else, do no thinking at all and its easier to fall into the masses. Religion are people who don't think for themselves but go to be taught from a controlled book. What's the favorite thing Christians teach? Don't rely on your own understanding. That, at this point is ridiculous to me. My parents and some teachers only teach me to do critical thinking and logical application. So let's.

If I were to start a religion, what would I put on page one. I'd say I'm right and you're wrong, don't think for yourself, this is perfect. Oh and don't change anything in here, only I can. I'll teach you and you give me money. Eh, tax free for me by the way. I had a lot of issues resolving the themes with my friends so I called my church and asked to speak to the most qualified deacon to sit with me and answer my questions one on one, mind you, I have been a devout Christian my whole life and needed guidance as an adult and simply asking why like a child would. So I went to Starbucks for two and half hours and spoke with a well educated deacon from my church. We spoke about a couple subjects I would like to ask everyone to think about.

I read a while back that on the cross Jesus actually said "Forgive them not for they know what they do" instead of "Forgive them for they know not what they do". I did not like this at all and could not find anything in my quick search online to back this up but I thought about Jesus saying both over and over and said well I see reason in both.

I mentioned to the deacon the fact that the bible simply tells slaves to obey their masters. Really. I told him that Martin Luther King should have a book in the bible because his words about equality are moving and the opposite of what's in the bible. I don't want slaves or want to be a slave. Why would God be pro-slave? The bible then appears to be written for man by man in that time period. We've all heard about the books being taken out and voted on. The deacon shed some light on it. Apparently the preachers in about 325AD who has been teaching the christian way got together and all agreed they had been teaching the same material so the vote was not hard. It's what had been taught since the beginning.

I still like the bible, I will always own one for education and history. But not word for word perfect word of God. I don't know what God is, but I know what he's not. I gave God a lot of characteristics as a Christian. I now give very few characteristics to God but I believe he has one hell of a sense of humor. I believe there is a creator, he created everything, I believe we are all special and unique and have souls, I hope the creator is also the Judge when I die because we all are going to die and I hope my soul continues; oh and God does not meddle with people's lives as much as I thought before.

Now the history of my own religion is interesting. Not many people know it. I'll go ahead and say everything you think you know is probably wrong. As a human being we all understand the sun outside. It comes everyday. gives us warmth and food and light. Just think about your great ancestors long before Jesus, what did they see and understand. They understood the same thing about the sun. So again, when we think about pagans who pray to the sun or stars, we have been taught they are evil and bad but all our ancestors did it; and the reality is we would all die if not for the sun. Now our ancestors also knew about the four seasons. Everything would die and darkness would come then the sun would come back with warmth and bring life. The sun was also known as the Sun of God. The Zodiac was created from constellations and tells stories that personify the sky in multiple cultures. If you learn the history about where you came from as far back as possible and watch the transformations you will realize you are controlled and lied to more than any previous family member.

Anyway, the Sun of God was also personified into a man who was the light of the world and who would come back and save us all. I no longer believe in heaven or hell nor do I condemn anyone on this Earth to hell, I now for the first time can see every man, woman and child as a brother and sister of mankind. Christians will never be free until they are free of religion, it is slavery of the mind. When you start applying logic and risk losing comfort for the truth, you'll see something new, I'll admit I wished I could go back in time in the first 48 hours, I was freaking out. I told my friends what I learned and it all fell into place and they were all like "told you so". Now whenever my friends would bring up a point, I would ask for a basis of their knowledge, it was all inside of them, not in a book, the funny thing is I eventually found it all in books, it just took a little longer but when I found it, I knew. Some Christians think I'm the devil now and am going to hell, the deacon said I was wrong and should not think so much and that I was going to hell. I was pretty disappointed in my church, I called them and said I've believed in Jesus for 26 years but no longer do and they did not have a lot in the arsenal once I started thinking and then talking. I will never go back to church or give them money. Hundreds of denominations, hundreds of versions of the bible, in one hundred years Christianity should be almost gone if everyone starts thinking. It's a myth. Why believe in Jesus and not Hercules? The myth of Jesus being a real person stems from the sun in the sky and all those pagans who prayed to the sun, our savior. The religious institutions are controlling the masses as they have for a very long time. This is just my story.

I was happy to tell my mom I no longer believed in Jesus, she thought I was an idiot at first, after she did some reading and soul searching, she admitted she was wrong and her spirituality is now unique to herself. I helped free her. I haven't had the conversation with my grandparents who are hardcore Christians but I will. The truth hurts sometimes but freedom of the mind is the goal. I tell people now I'm pagan if it comes to defining it, then I tell them they are pagan and why. I like talking and always have with anyone about religion. We all need to find peace and if we are all free under one mindset, we can stop the fighting. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, we can find peace; money was created by man and almost everyone can be bought off with money. Only when you have no money but are still self-sufficient can you truly appreciate who you are. The reality is money, even though not real, is programmed into us so we can all be slaves. Free your children and wish them the truth beyond any level you have experienced. They will know more than you.
