I was Moved

Ana Maria Alvarez
You moved me

I held myself still for you,

only to have forgotten what

I was holding on to.

For some time, time had it's hands on me,

loving me for every breath I'd taken.

Held me captive, with forever.

Knowing now,

If I would have stayed, I'd have stayed

that way forever.

I'd of died, frozen, crippled in time's grasp.

But you moved me.

First mind,

then body, now heart and soul.

The tingling began,

electrifying-

bringing to life

and to light, a smile

my first thought

never wasted time

It was you

wholeheartedly you

before me, before life

before time

I spoke, and the words

already knew you.

And I was moved.

I like this Anna. Expressing the internal feeling another gives is not easy. Well done!
