I was a Princess Once-

A Daughter's Lament

M.S.Medina
I was a Princess once to someone I knew
Someone who told me, "I'll take care of you."
In arms gentle but strong
I knew he could never do me any wrong.

He was there to slay dragons that I feared.
We would often talk far into the night.
He was my Prince the one whom I loved
He knew how to make everything all right.

The days flew by all in a blur,
The dreams and the laughter we shared, passed.
My gentle, sweet Prince, wll visit no more,
Can true happiness ever really last?

I weep for the love that I knew once upon a time
but am thankful for all that we had.
My Knight, gentle and true who filled up my heart
was my wonderful, special, sweet, Dad.

Marsha's dad is the only person I ever called "Dad" (in my 20's) because I never knew my dad and my stepdad just wasn't. I knew Marsha and her relationship w/her Dad, and I can say it was even more special and precious that words can adequately describe. Soliel is truly blessed to have Marsha and Jack parenting her. Her memories will probably on this site some day. She will be nurtured and cared for like no other. Love, Sher

    No actually it is a pic of my husband and our grandaughter. I have no pics online of my Father and me. I just used the pic to show the Father/Daughter love. :}

My eyes are not what they used to be, but I swore that photo was your husband. So that is you as a sweet child?
