Ice Road Truckers Season 2 Character Guide

Ice Road Truckers, a History Channel reality show, was such a popular hit that it came back for a second season. Four of the truckers from last season are highlighted again, along with 4 new faces. But this time around, our experienced veterans from Season 1 are the newbies or "maggots" on the Arctic ice road from Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk.

Alex Debogorski
Alex, now in his 27^th year driving trucks on the icy road, is up to the challenge of conquering this new Arctic ice road. He's still the stalwart trucker from last season, but this season poses new obstacles. He's up against unfamiliar roads, new speeding zones, and heavier loads. Alex's tenure as an ice road trucker may have run out of luck when health issues arise during his Arctic journey.

Hugh Rowland
Last season, Hugh was known as the "Polar Bear" for his bearish and strong-headed methods. On Season 2, he may be up against the most challenging journey of his career. He's also new to the Arctic road, but his competitive spirit is still in full force. He's determined to be the rookie to triumph over the Northern ice road. This season, he's in charge of heavier and wider loads and also placed in charge of training new truckers, too. But will his experience and determination be enough to challenge the unfamiliar Arctic icy roads?

Rick Yemm
Rick is still as lively as last season, but this time around, there are some changes. He's trying to have a fresh start with a new trucking company as well as a wild blue Mohawk. You can't say he doesn't like attention, that's for sure. But on Season 2 of Ice Road Truckers, Rick seems to have a string of bad luck riddled with mechanical failures. The unfamiliar Arctic roads also prove to be a strain on his health.

Drew Sherwood
Drew was the rookie last year who had lots of attitude and confidence. While we thought last season was the last we'd seen of him, Drew surprisingly has come back on Season 2 to prove to the previous truckers that he's a force to be reckoned with. He's also with a new company. He gets off to a slow start taking miscellaneous deliveries that aren't as high-profile as the big-rig journeys. He'll have a lot to prove if he wants to make it through the season with the respect he thinks he deserves.

Jerry Dusdal
Jerry is a new face on Ice Road Truckers, but he's well-known on the Arctic ice road. He's made it a mission to prioritize safety on these hazardous roads so everyone can go home safely to their families. He's known as the "truck push" for Mullen Transportation which means he is responsible for the truckers' safety and delivery of their loads. He manages the organization, project planning, weather coordination and equipment dismantling.

Eric Dufresne
Eric is also a fresh character for Season 2 of the Ice Road Truckers. He's the type of guy that was born to work in sub-zero temperatures. Since he was 19, this industry has been apart of him and has contributed to his strong work ethic. Not only is he an experienced truck driver, but he also is an experienced truck mechanic which comes in handy in these precarious weather conditions. This season brings many challenges for the Artic veteran as well as some heated competition from Hugh, the Polar Bear.

Bear Swensen
Bear is a brawny, easy-going guy with a sense of humor. He's lived all his life in the North and is accustomed to the weather conditions. Not only does he drive on the ice roads, his resume also boasts logging experience and bear hunting. Bear's well known in these parts which makes him a respectable figure in the ice road community. On Season 2, he's entrusted with heavy, valuable equipment critical to many projects in the Northern area. He's also on the lookout for Polar bears!
