All skate!
Sir Pooch slipslides to his favorite potty place
now hidden under banks of snow
and covered with ice,
hard as a rock.
Lindy Lou walks out behind him
at a pace usually reserved
for one hundred and fifty year olds,
stiff as a board.
The car sits in the garage
wondering if it too
will get a chance
to go skating and
spin like a top.

Post a CommentMy dog never knows what to expect these days when she goes outside! The thermometer is a roller coaster and the snow appears and melts so often it's always a surprise.
We got our share in Okla. along with -25 degrees
I hope your car restrains its impulses to skate :)
Always fun with pets in the winter-time!

Great poem!
I know that 150-yr-old's walk. We need to have a blast of warm air come through to melt some of this snow and ice.
