Iced Tea Review: Pacific Natural Foods Organic Ready-to-Drink Lemon Iced Tea

Despite Being Ready-to-drink This Tea was Pretty Good

I recently got a container of ready-to-drink iced tea. Being a huge fan of iced tea it really wasn't that hard of a decision. I have to admit that I am not the biggest fan of most instant and ready-to-drink iced teas but this one caught my eye because it was organic and fair trade. I really enjoy getting organic foods and drinks and who doesn't want to get something that they know was made without harsh working conditions, underage labor or poorly paid labor. The iced tea had an expiration date that was months and months off. I thought that this iced tea could be great the next time that I had some company. Here is what I thought of the Pacific Natural Foods Organic Ready to Drink Lemon Iced Tea.

Along with the lemon iced tea I also got some Sweetened Iced Tea that was both ready-to-drink and from the same company. I thought that their sweetened tea was plenty sweet and was hoping that their lemon iced tea was going to better suit my taste buds. While I thought that the lemon iced tea was not as overwhelmingly sweet I didn't think that it was better than homemade iced tea. Of course I've never once found an iced tea that was ready-to-drink or instant that was as good as homemade fresh iced tea. I definitely found the Pacific Natural Foods Organic Ready to Drink Lemon Iced Tea to be to my liking though and wondered if the lemons that were used in it were organic.

The ingredients in this lemon iced tea were brewed organic tea made from filtered water and organic black tea leaves, organic evaporated cane juice, organic lemon flavor, citric acid and ascorbic acid, or vitamin C. One thing that I really liked about the sweetened tea and this lemon tea of course was that it listed one hundred percent for vitamin C in the nutrition facts. Also in the nutrition facts for the Pacific Natural Foods Organic Ready to Drink Lemon Iced Tea was sixteen grams of sugars, seventeen grams of carbohydrates and seventy calories. I would say that the vitamin C was about the only real nutrition that you got from this ready-to-drink iced tea. Of course I can't say that the vitamin C content was going to keep me buying this ready-to-drink lemon iced tea.

I thought that the container of ready-to-drink lemon iced tea was reasonably priced. It contained sixty-four fluid ounces, eight servings or glasses, and was only three dollars. Considering that both fair trade and organic items are usually expensively priced I wasn't complaining about the cost of the iced tea. In the event that I have several people over and don't have time to make fresh iced tea I think that I would really appreciate the Pacific Natural Foods Organic Ready to Drink Lemon Iced Tea. It definitely would be my choice as far as ready-to-drink teas go. It isn't something that I plan on having all the time but something that I think I will get again. I would happily recommend for anyone to give it a try and try other teas from the company as well.
