Ideas for an Anti-Valentine's Day

Just because you do not have a significant other to celebrate Valentine's Day does not mean you need to stay at home by yourself either! Celebrate an Anti-Valentine's Day this year instead!

Throw an Anti-Valentine's Day Party

Invite all of your single friends over for an Anti-Valentine's Day party. Use cookie cutters in shapes of triangles and squares and circles to cut out the food you are serving, just don't use the heart shaped cookie cutter! Use colors that are the opposite of red, pink and white like black, blue and green to decorate your home for the Anti-Valentine's Day party.

Go on an Anti-Valentine's Day Shopping Spree

Take yourself to the mall and buy something just for you. While all the couples around you are spending money on their loved one you can take all that money and spend it only on you. Purchase something to make you feel good about yourself and something that you wouldn't normally buy.

Have an Anti-Valentine's Day Slumber Party

Have all of your single girlfriends come over and spend the night for an Anti-Valentine's Day slumber party. Buy a bunch of non-Valentine candy, pop a ton of popcorn and watch movies all night long. Instead of picking out love stories choose movies that are not love-related such as comedies or scary movies.

Take an Anti-Valentine's Day Vacation

Leave town for an Anti-Valentine's Day vacation. Grab a few of your favorite single friends and head to a single's resort so that you do not have to look at all of those lovey-dovey couples. Spend the day drinking cocktails and laying out by the pool while spending time with your friends.

Plan an Anti-Valentine's Day Spa Experience

A great way to forget about your lack of a significant other is by spending the day pampering yourself. Get a massage, have a glass (or two!) of wine, and eat a few great meals with a couple of your best single friends.

Don't let Valentine's Day be for just the couples by celebrating Anti-Valentine's Day in your own way!

Good point, Erin. But, I definitely think an Anti-Vday shopping spree can happen with or without friends :)

If you have any single girlfriends that is.
