Ideas for Easy Halloween Party Goodie Bags

Denise Kawaii
Goodie bags have become a staple of the do-it-yourself party, but although they are wildly popular it is difficult to come up with just the right combination of treats to fill them with. Here are some of my favorites for easy to order and easy to divide party favors that will make your Halloween party a big hit with trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Light Up The Night

Anyone who will be out Halloween night will appreciate a blinking safety light or flashlight to make their tiny trick-or-treaters more visible to others, and light the path as they walk from house to house.

Whether you choose an easy to wear light up bracelet, a do-it-yourself flashlight or some blinking eyewear your guests will enjoy the novelty of the lights and thank you for giving them something that they will be able to use while celebrating after dark.

Midnight Snacks

Although generic candy is cheap and easy to find around Halloween time, nix the standard treats and give your guests some special fall snacks that they will be sure to remember.

Snacks like popcorn balls, caramel apples and cookies shaped like carved pumpkins are not only easy to make, but can also be found pre-made while wandering through your local bakery. For an easy party activity, have your guests decorate their snacks with sprinkles and frosting for a uniquely yummy result.

Classic Favorites

If you really want to stick with candy surprises, then dazzle guests with a blast from the past with classic treats like Pez candies paired with Halloween dispensers or retro candies from days gone by.

Make Some Noise

To keep your kiddies entertained while keeping them safe on their trick-or-treat adventure, consider adding noisemakers to your goodie bags. Kazoos are a classic and whimsical noisemaker that are also fun to use. If you really want your partygoers to make some noise, mini keychain whistles are another low-cost noisemaker that encourage safe trick-or-treating.

Things to Do

Although your Halloween party will be the event of the century, inevitably there is going to be one or two in attendance that will want to take a break to catch their breath. To fill the quiet party moments, consider giving your guests a little something to do. Paper gift-bags designed for decoration and activity books are a great way to provide a variety of options so that all of your guests can enjoy themselves, even if some are shyer than others.

Using these ideas will help you in assembling easy goodie bags that won't take a lot of time to put together but will provide your guests with hours of fun during and after your party.
