Random Christmas Gift Exchange (with a Twist)
This is a game that I once enjoyed at a Christmas party. It is a perfect Christmas party game since gift giving is a dominant part of the Christmas tradition.
Rules:
- Each employee brings a gift that is within the same price range.
- A card with each gift giver's name is placed in a box, two names are randomly pulled at once, and the employees whose names are pulled exchange their gifts.
A twist to this game:
- Employee names are pulled again one at a time.
- If the employee whose name is called is not satisfied with the gift he or she has, he or she can get up and steal a gift that he or she chooses from any other employee and replace it with the gift that he or she originally won. This brings much humor to this game.
Win Lose or Draw with Christmas Music Theme
Since Christmas music is a major aspect of Christmas celebrations, it makes perfect sense to include it in a Christmas party game.
Rules:
- One player draws images that relate to a Christmas song that he or she has in mind (example: "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"; "Joy to the World").
- The other players attempt to guess the title of the song.
- The player who guesses correctly wins a prize and is next up to draw.
Christmas Stocking Inspirational Message-Writing
This Christmas game idea is inspired by a class activity that I once participated in where each student wrote a message to one another about what he or she liked the most about that student. This game is a perfect choice for Christmas, in that writing inspirational messages to one another spreads the spirit of love, joy, hope that will be just in time for the New Year. These inspirational messages will also be looked back on during years to come.
Guidelines:
- The host of the party hangs paper Christmas stockings on the wall with each employee's name written on it.
- Everyone then stands in line to write inspirational messages on each employee's Christmas stocking.
Playing these top office Christmas party games will definitely instill a sense of joy and hope within the employees. These games' inclusion of Christmas themes and traditions will also give employees a wonderful memory to cherish.
