Ideas for the Perfect Summer Wedding

Romantic, Classic, and Beautiful

With summer coming just around the corner, the top season for weddings is upon us. Wedding planning can be fun, but also trying when you're attempting to come up with a theme. I remember my own planning and theme thoughts well, how fun it was to think of different things. The following are my favorite three.

A Renaissance Wedding, this theme is very romantic and great for those who love a little dress up fun. Renaissance dresses for ladies can be positively stunning. Weather you chose a peasant level, or the queen herself. Dress it up with pretty a pretty necklace, and a girdle. The men's clothes are equally as fun to look into, ad have a wide range of things you can get the groom into, from traditional tight hose, to loser fitting leather pants for a swash buckling sort of look. Check out your area and see if they have a local festival that runs in the summer, most sites offer wedding packages for every budget from a basic ceremony to the full thing including a grand feast. They have origins, history and great suggestions. One big key to remember is to make sure you look in advance for your seamstress many dress makers are booked far out, and summer is a busy time for them just as it would be in any dress shop. The best thing about a renaissance wedding is the many types of food you can get to go with it, maybe go with classical fare with big meats, and a few nice green vegetables, for desert you could always have some decorative Marzipan.

Anchors away a beach theme, this is a classic summer wedding theme, but it really should not be dismissed classics are classic for a reason. Whether you plan a destination beach wedding, or want to stay close to home you can really have fun with this one. I personally chose to get married at a local park when I tied the knot, with a beach and a waterfall. Why not check this one out yourself? Local area parks are usually very affordable venues for your wedding, and have the added bonus of plenty of room for all your guests. Make sure you chose some fun beach colors if you go with this theme, corals and blues are very fun, as are light pinks, peaches, and even neutrals like the sand. One of the best things about a beach wedding is that you can be more casual and laid back, go shoeless of you dare. Your flowers can be bright, and tropical to fit your sunny mood, your dress flowing and feminine. For wedding favors you could give some seashells, or maybe get decorative and offer clear bottles of sand and stones in a decorative pattern. The most important thing is to make it your own, and make it fit your own personality.

The Secret Garden, a garden theme. The best thing about going with a garden theme is all the money you can save on flowers. Pick a location that suits your favorite flowers, and has a selection that will go with the colors you want. Parks, Arboretums, and even relatives are wonderful places to seek out nice gardens. If you have the time, and a garden of your own, why not plant flowers just for your wedding day. Straw hats would make a wonderful accessory to go with a garden wedding for bride's maids, and even the bride. For your dress in a garden wedding you could go less formal, or fully formal the choice is completely yours; be creative with it. Party favors for a garden wedding are endless, pick up some packets of flower seeds and dress them up with some ribbon, or maybe some paper hand fans for your guests that they can use during the ceremony.

No matter what theme idea you go with for your wedding remember the most important thing; it's your big day. So make the place, the colors and the gifts something you will enjoy, and that friends and family will know is you.
