Ideas for Real Estate Business Cards

Jamie Brown
Business cards are inexpensive yet invaluable income generating tools for certain types of business owners. Individuals who work in the real estate industry commonly carry business cards. Realtors often pass cards out to friends, associates, colleagues and even strangers to get leads. If you own or operate a real estate business, tried to make your own cards stand out from the competition with innovative ideas.

Sold!

Post a photo of the most recent house you have sold along with the selling price on your business card. Demonstrate to the prospective client that you get results. Posting a picture of a gorgeous home recently sold may encourage prospective buyers to give you a call. Publicizing the selling price may help ensure a homeowner that you can help him get close to his asking price. This strategy requires you to order new cards rather frequently (about every week or month), but it may go a long way in ensuring potential clients that you are a hardworking and successful real estate company.

Coupon

Many business card printers allow you to create double-sided cards. Use that other side to advertise a special offer in the format of a formal coupon. Create a cutout line around the back of your card with your offer inside. The offer is up to you - it can be anything from money back at closing to a home warranty -- but make sure that it draws interest from a prospective seller or buyer.

Vellum or Textured Cards

Another way to make your real estate business cards stand out from the others is to have them printed on vellum paper. Vellum is a transparent card material that costs a bit more than standard card stock paper, but looks very professional and interesting. When sorting through a stack of cards, the vellum cards commonly stand out from the bunch. Include an image of a house in the backdrop of the transparent card then print your information on top of the house image. These cards are also commonly difficult to tear or damage. You can also purchase textured business cards with special paper that your customers can feel with their fingers.
