Ideas on How to Recycle Your Used Stockings

Before you throw your used stockings in the garbage, think about how you can turn it into a unique arts and crafts and you might be able to earn money out of it.
You don't need to buy expensive materials to make your crafts unique. Just be creative in using recycled materials like the used stockings. There are ideas on how to make use of your used, old stockings. You can make flower, decorative butterflies, dragon flies, centipede, etc. Let's start.

Flower

In making flower you need these things. Stockings, wire, ( soft wire used to make accessories) colored pens, scissors or pliers to cut the wires. Start to make petals out of the wire. The size and shape of your petals depends upon your choice. Make a stem using the wires and make leaves too then attach it to the stem. It is easier to connect your petals to the stem if you will put an extra length of your wires in making your petals. Wrap your petals one by one with the stockings be sure to double it. You can sew it by hand to secure the end parts. You can wound small pieces of materials to make the center part of your flower. You can also make flower buds out of it. Then, design the petals using your colored pens. I f you want your flowers to be colorful, you can dye your stockings. Make a bunch of flowers put it an an attractive flower vase. People will consider it unique specially if you are very creative in making your flowers very attractive.

Butterfly

You need the same things. Stockings, wire, scissors, needle and thread, pliers for cutting, colored pens for designing, or you can use paint for better effect. Start to make a body of the butterfly. You can wound piece of the stockings and form it into butterfly body, it looks like a big worm right? tie it with the wire to make it looks like a worm effect. Then form the wings of the butterfly and attach it to the body. Butterflies have different shapes of their wings. Be creative in making your wings designs, shape and size. Use the wire to make some other parts of the butterfly. When you're done with the body and wings, wrap your shaped wire with the stockings be sure that the end part is securely tightened. Then use pens for you designs. For better effect, paint is good to make designs. If you are good in color combination that is better. Your designs will look very attractive and pretty. You can make money by selling it to the market if you have pretty designs.

Dragonfly

The same materials with the flower and butterfly you need. Form you wires into dragonfly designs and do the same thing as the flower and butterfly. I you are artistic in making designs using the attractive colors, your work will turn out great. You can make money out of it. Many people would like to use recycled things for decorations specially if it is well done and very attractive. They will use it as art and crafts collection or a display in their living room.

So, don't throw away your used stockings, save and recycle it. Maybe your friends and relatives have plenty of it. It is now your chance to try another art and craft that is unique. You can also use the White stockings as angel wings. Sometimes there were presentation in the church using little angels attire. You can save your money by making your own attire or costume.
