1-800-GOT-JUNK.
1-800-GOT-JUNK is a company that will remove anything from your home that you don't want or need. You can simply visit their company website and set up a time for them to come and pick up your unwanted items, or you can call them. If you contact this company through their website or by phone, you will have to estimate how much time it will take for them to remove your unwanted item(s).
Also, you have to pay the company for this service. Alas, it's not free. How much will it cost? It will depend on what you're having the company pick up. For instance, a sofa would probably cost between fifty and a hundred dollars to remove. You get the idea.
Ebay.
Almost everyone has heard of eBay. Well, almost everyone. If you're one of the ones who doesn't know what eBay is then know that it is a company that allows you to sell almost anything. More than likely, you will be able to sell your unwanted items on eBay. Simply create a free account with eBay, and start selling your wares.
You will be required to list pertinent information about your item such as age, condition, the price you want to sell it for; etc. You should also take a picture of your item, so your buyers can see what it looks like. But a photo is not a requirement. As for the cost, eBay will take a small commission of each item you list and sell. The commission will vary depending on how expensive your item is. If your wares sell, then you will be responsible for shipping them to the buyer. And that is that.
Craigslist.
I haven't personally tried Craigslist, but it is definitely something you may want to look into. Craigslist is a site that millions of people view every day. These people list things for sale, make online friends, chat in the forums; etc. It's kind of like a newspaper, in some ways. Anyway, you can offer to sell your merchandise on Craigslist or give it away. Someone might take it.
Give your stuff to a charity.
Perhaps you're trying to give away items that simply will not sell on eBay, or you don't want to have to pay someone to take them. If this is the case, why don't you try giving your items away to a charity such as Goodwill or the Salvation Army. These companies will gladly take your unwanted items, and you may feel better knowing that you possibly helped someone who is less fortunate than you. These companies are especially useful for sending your old clothes to.
Everybody has unwanted items that they want to be rid of. Some of us have more junk than other people, but now you can do something about it. If you want to finally be free of your clutter than give the above companies a try.

Post a CommentWhoever came up with the idea to haul away a person's garbage is a genius. We had a ton of junk after my father passed away. We called a similar company, phillyjunk.com. They loaded up all that stuff and we paid about $170. Well worth it. Where's my million-dollar idea? ha
