Ideas for Romantic Saturday Dates

Tips for How to Plan Romance on Saturday

Rosallee Scott
Ideas for romantic Saturday dates are all about going all out and spending the entire day together. Not having to get up early the next day means that you can plan romance on Saturday that goes into the wee hours of the night, or even the following morning. The trick to making it special is not predetermine what you are going to do, decide where to go based on how you both feel.

Sleep In Together
Do not set any alarms or plan anything early this day. When you do wake up, greet your significant other with a kiss and take a long shower together to start things off on the right foot. Jump in the car and head out to your favorite coffee shop or breakfast place for a leisurely meal while you decide what to do that day.

The Planning
Romance on Saturday can mean many things, so grab a local paper and pour over it to find activities. Look for local art fairs, swap meets or antique shows for shopping and cultural fun. Check out neighboring cities to see if there is anything going on that you've never done before, like a wine tasting or even a gun show. These ideas for romantic Saturday dates may just lead to a new favorite activity for the two of you.

Be Spontaneous
If nothing catches your eye in the paper, fill up your tank and go exploring. Stop off at little shops, lakes or nature trails along the way to discover new places to go. Try a whole new restaurant or roadside cafe for lunch and dinner; some of the world's greatest meals are hidden in these establishments. Head back home right before the sun goes down to watch the sunset in the car.

Party It Up
Change into your best evening attire and hit a club, karaoke bar or late night coffee shop with poetry readings. If you are feeling adventurous when planning romance on Saturday, try out new places where you can meet a different crowd of people and be refreshed by a whole new atmosphere than what you are usually use to.

Ideas for romantic Saturday dates may not always work out. You may end up not liking the new places at all or you might find a total new way of life that you love. Either way, you'll never be in shortage of funny couple stories when planning romance on a Saturday- by not "planning" it at all.
