Want to find fishing coloring pages for your little tike and have some male bonding? Or maybe you have a daughter who has embraced fishing as a form of daddy dates. Well, if you can't find workbooks in the store that relate to fishing, you might be able to find them online.

One place to start is to go to www.google.com. Type in "fishing coloring pages" in the search box and you'll find a lot of pages to print. There are even the names of the websites that produced the pictures.

A few of those websites with really good fishing pages are:

www.kidprintables.com
www.apples4theteacher.com
www.kidsturncentral.com/
http://www.thecolor.com/

Here is a great educational website that definitely relates to fishing: http://www.sebastianinletcam.com/.
You get to study the inlet and watch it in real-time by webcam. There's a section dedicated to how the moon affects the tide and how the wind affects the water. It's like a whole science channel dedicated to one famous fishing hole.

http://www.americaoutdoors.com/fishing/fishing_fun/index.html is an interactive website that kids can get on themselves to get acquainted with fishing for the first time. It has pages showing them how to hook the bait and what kinds of bait are out there. This website shows what the lure looks like and shows pictures on an elementary level so it is easy for the children to understand. It makes fishing kid-friendly.

At http://www.wikihow.com/Take-Children-Fishing, fishing is a step-by-step guide for parents, guardians and extended adult family on how to introduce children in the family to fishing.

http://www.bassfishing4kids.com/ is a website that shares the triumphs of fishing for bass. It was started by a boy named Jelani and he writes for the pure intent of educated and networking with his peers on the joys of bass fishing.

http://www.castforkids.org/ is based on C.A.S.T. for Catch a Special Thrill. It is nationwide website that focuses on the education and fun of fishing for kids. It has sponsorship events for disabled children learning how to fish and has sections on programs and camps.

These are ideas from the simplest coloring pages to full blown activities that you and your child or children can engage in to make the spring and the summer months memorable and worthwhile. Hope you catch something!
