Ideas for the Wedding Apron Game

Summer Banks
The classic apron game at wedding showers involves pinning utensils to a kitchen apron and asking guests how many utensils they can remember after the bride leaves the room. If the wedding shower is held at a location other than the home, the apron game may need to be tweaked a bit to match the wedding shower venue.

Animals

If the wedding shower is held outdoors, change out the utensils for pictures of outdoor animals. Include familiar and obscure animals to make the game a bitter more difficult. Familiar animals include cow, rabbit, dog and cat. Obscure animals include antelope, liger, elephant and sloth.

A fun twist on the animal game involves pinning baby animal pictures on the apron. Choose baby animals that look nothing like their adult animal counterparts. Examples include baby swans and penguins.

Celebrity Partners

Pin pictures of celebrities onto the bride's apron. Ask her to walk around the wedding shower gifts for a few minutes. Guests will try to remember the celebrities. When the bride leaves the room or area, ask guests to write down celebrity spouses or partners attached to the celebrities on the apron.

Movies

Using the celebrity spin, attach pictures of famous actors and actresses to the apron. Ask guests to write down the name of the celebrity and a movie that celebrity is famous for. Print off a complete acting history for all celebrities to check answers.

Music

The music version of the apron game requires a karaoke machine and musical favorites from the bride and groom. Attach pictures of the bride and groom's favorite bands. Guests must list all the bands they remember. The winner can sit back and watch the losers perform the couple's favorite songs karaoke-style.

Baby Fun

Collect baby pictures from the members of the wedding party, bride and groom. Pin the pictures to the apron. When the bride leaves the area, ask guests to write down the names of the babies in the pictures.

Careers

Pin tools used in specific careers to the apron. Guests must write down the name of the career associated with tools. Examples include a stethoscope, hammer, whistle and guitar pick.

What's the Celebration?

Pin items on the apron that are commonly associated with specific types of parties. Try to include familiar and unfamiliar items. Good choices include birthday candles, graduation cap tassel, garter and mistletoe.

Gifts

For this version of the apron game, guests bring small gifts for the bride and groom. These items are pinned to the apron and guests must list the gifts they can remember when the bride leaves.
