Candles make a very inexpensive table centerpiece but can make a very attractive arrangement. Arrange them alone; cluster the candles together with the largest in the middle and scale down in a varying level. These can be arranged on a variety of platforms or plates. This centerpiece will beautifully illuminate your Thanksgiving table.

The fruit or gourd centerpieces can be made up several days before the big dinner, as well as the candle arrangements. The flower arrangements can be planned ahead of time and the basket readied in advance, too, but the flowers will have to wait until a day or two before.
