The Rides of Idewild Park - From the Tame to the Wild Idewild Has Something for Everyone
One of the great things about Idewild Park as compared to many other amusement parks is that the waiting times for the many rides are relatively short. Idewild Park has many family friendly "round and round" rides like the "tildeworld", "caterpillar", "Parasails" and a small ferris wheel. Idewild Park has a small wooden roller coaster and a "wild mouse". The amusement park rides are broken down into sections. "Old Idewild" houses the traditional amusement park rides. Raccoon Lagoon is home to Idewild Park's "kiddie land".
Idewild Park's Kid Friendly Rides - One of the Largest Kiddielands Anywhere
Idewild Park has an abundance of rides geared towards small children. Several of the rides, like the "tea cups" allow parents to ride alongside their little ones. One of the most popular rides in Idewild Park is the "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood Trolley Ride". Fred Rogers is one of Pittsburgh's most beloved former residents and his PBS children's show, "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood" remains popular today. The Mr. Rogers Trolley Ride features many of the popular characters from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. This ride alone is a good reason for families with young children to venture to Idewild Park in Ligonier, PA.
Idewild Park's Soak Zone - Want to Cool Down? Idewild Park's Soak Zone is the Place to Be
Soak Zone is the name given to the water area of Idewild Park. Here you will find a full size swimming pool, several large waterslides and an incredible children's pool filled with water falls and splash areas. Older children will enjoy playing with the squirt guns and waiting for the gigantic bucket of water to pour down.
Idewild Park is a great amusement park for families and one of Pittsburgh's real treasures.

Post a CommentSounds like a great fun day out with the kids.
Sounds like a good one for the little ones.
When the kids were little, we always went to parks like this. This one sounds great but the kids are in college now :) Maybe the hubby and I should just go, cheers :)
