Idole D'Armani Perfume Review

Giorgio Armani named his new fragrance for fall 2009 Idole d'Armani Perfume, and this Italian name sounds wonderfully exciting and romantic. The name Armani is known in Hollywood and around the world as the height of chic, taste and restrained glamour, so it follows that a new Armani perfume would be a knockout. Unfortunately, Idole d'Armani Perfume fails to live up to its enticing name, and everything about the fragrance, from the scent itself to the uninspired packaging, is quite lackluster.

Idole d'Armani Perfume: My Experience

I've always admired the tasteful chic of Armani, and some of my favorite actresses, like Michelle Pfeiffer, swear by this designer. So when I heard about the new Armani fragrance called Idole d'Armani and had access to a perfume sample, I knew I had to give this scent a try.

Expecting to fall under the spell of Idole d'Armani Perfume, I was surprised to discover that I was completely underwhelmed by everything about this newest scent from Armani. Idole d'Armani Perfume is a spicy floral fragrance and has notes of pear, orange, ginger, saffron absolute, jasmine, rose loukoum, vetiver, styrax, and patchouli.

All of these intriguing notes in the new Idole d'Armani Perfume should have added up to a stunning fragrance, but this highly anticipated Armani scent is curiously lacking in presence and personality. Idole d'Armani Perfume fails to make a unique impression and is vaguely reminiscent of many different other perfumes past and present.

There's nothing offensive really about Idole d'Armani Perfume, it's just that the scent smells so bland and it fades a bit after the first application. Armani didn't come up with a very inspired packaging for Idole d'Armani Perfume either. The fragrance is sold in a nondescript bottle that is vaguely Art Deco looking with the words Idole d'Armani printed in block letters on the front. In my experience, Idole d'Armani Perfume and the new scent's packaging aren't very feminine or inviting.

Where to Buy Idole d'Armani Perfume

Idole d'Armani Perfume can be purchased by shopping online at the site for Giorgio Armani Beauty, and it's also available at better department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. In the Idole d'Armani Perfume collection are: 2.5 oz. Eau de Parfum for $75, 1.7 oz. Eau de Parfum for $62, 6.7 oz. Body Lotion for $39.50, and 6.7 oz. Shower Gel for $35.

Ads for Idole d'Armani Perfume show a beautiful sultry model with her head thrown back in passion; too bad Idole d'Armani Perfume cannot live up to this excitement, sensuality and mystery. Idole d'Armani Perfume isn't a horrible fragrance, just an utterly forgettable one. In my opinion, this holiday gift giving season, your money's better spent on other new fragrances like Couture Couture by Juicy Couture.
