"I...don't Really like to Think About Politics..." : a Look at Presidential Candidate David Masters
I enjoy taking quotes out of context. David Masters isn't really THAT crazy. This guy is your typical independent nobody. You know....things like we " ...have become sheep over the last several decades and let the wolves take over shepherding us." Basically...he wants us to vote for him because our government has turned us into sheep. Pretty typical stuff.....
When he isn't seeing us as sheep...David Masters is writing in his blog, hanging out on his 24 hour webcam, or thinking about ways to solve America. Let's take a quick look his view on the issues that he must not pay attention to because he doesn't really like to think about politics: Healthcare Everyone should have it National Security Protect yourself Gay Marriage Sure...why not? Education Needs fixin' Crime Criminals need to be punished, not rewarded... (what?) Trimming the Fat From The Government Machine Priceless Iraq Kinda like Vietnam...economically motivated Immigration Put them in a holding cell...let be naturalized Eating Babies Totally against Star Trek Looks like a fan...
The crime part really baffled me...maybe criminals are thrown a huge party in jail that I am not aware of. Is that why Paris Hilton came out smiling?
Masters does give us a lot of solutions but none of them make a whole lot of sense. The trimming of fat from the government machine is a nice analogy. Really makes you want to stick it to the man and vote for this guy. Everyone likes to lose weight and everyone hates being run by machines.
By the way....look at the banner on the top of his page. Apparently, his campaign is backed by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The 24 webcam is what drew me to this candidate. Unfortunately, it is not up yet. I don't really understand what the purpose of a 24/7 webcam is for a political candidate but Masters seems pretty adamant about it. Can you imagine if Dick Cheney or Steve Kubby had one of these? You could see Dick Cheney shoot old men in the face in real time and watch Steve Kubby get high and raid White Castle. David Masters isn't a bad guy. He is like a lot of other crazy dreamers out there. While he has no chance of winning, this will give him something to tell the grandkids.
