If we never questioned fate's existence,
If only I'd held my words inside my mouth
If only love's abandon hadn't left me breathless
If life isn't worth the risk, why wake up in the morning?
If love isn't painful, would we know it was real?
If we never question, answers are useless.
If we neglect to remember, our future is hopeless.
If mistakes are never made, we'll never experience.
If you had never showed, my heart wouldn't know.
If we think outside the box, does it really exist?
If we choose to ignore, will we embrace the inevitable?
If only we'd taken another path,
If only my words were kinder,
If lessons were only sooner learned,
If wishing could turn back the hands, we wouldn't be saying if.
